Taylor Borane, Chief Operations Officer of National Breathe Free Sinus & Allergy Centers, said that Kathryn Giunta, nurse practitioner at CT ENT Sinus Center, received the Extreme Ownership Award at this year's National Breathe Free Sinus & Allergy Centers Clinical Educational Convention.

This was the team's third annual convention, which took place in Miami on June 21 through 25.

"With Extreme Ownership, we always do what we say we are going to do when we say it, we take accountability in everything we do, and we do not make excuses," Borane told Housatonic Valley News. "Katie Giunta embraces this motto, and her extreme ownership approach sets a standard for all of Breathe Free."

National Breathe Free Sinus & Allergy Centers is a health care provider specializing in ear, nose and throat care. The organization has affiliate partners located in multiple states, including Florida, Texas, Virginia, California and Arizona. Borane has held leadership roles in the ENT medical device, health care and hospitality industries prior to joining the company. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University and an MBA from Grand Canyon University.

Kathryn Giunta joined CT ENT Sinus Center as a board-certified nurse practitioner in 2020. Giunta trained under Dr. Robert Weiss during the last year of her doctorate, focusing on ENT care, before becoming a member of the team full-time. She graduated from Quinnipiac University, magna cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science in nursing and a minor in Spanish, which she frequently uses at the office. She also holds professional certifications in advanced cardiac life support, basic life support and is a certified medical surgical registered nurse.
