On Wednesday, March 26, former Danbury High School standout Javon Hernandez’s current college team, the Jefferson Rams, won 6-1 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Dominican Chargers.
The game took place at Alumni Field. This was their second matchup against the Chargers this season.
The Rams’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 29 at 12 p.m. at Alumni Field against Wilmington Wildcats.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
The week starting Monday, Sept. 8 will feature action from these former Housatonic Valley area high school stars.
