On Sunday, March 9, former Canterbury School standout Nick Sturino’s current college team, the Fairfield Stags, won 6-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the George Washington Colonials.
The game took place at Tucker Field at Barcroft Park. This was their third matchup against the Colonials this season.
The Stags’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 11 at 3 p.m. at University Field against Hofstra Pride.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
The week starting Monday, Sept. 8 will feature action from these former Housatonic Valley area high school stars.
