CT ENT Sinus Center is fully equipped to diagnose and treat patients in-office, utilizing on-site diagnostic technology and minimally invasive procedures.
“Combining patient-centered care with the latest technology has helped to create a world-class experience for our patients," Director Dr. Robert Weiss said. "We are proud to be one of the nation's leading in-office sinus centers to offer minimally invasive procedures to treat chronic sinusitis, including balloon sinus dilation. Our recent investment in the Fiagon image guidance system allows us to perform these procedures more efficiently with an added layer of safety.”
In addition to the many diagnostic procedures that are performed, the center also recently participated in industry trials for a drug-eluting sinus implant.
The study was to assess the safety of a bioabsorbable, steroid-releasing implant, and determine its effectiveness in improving surgical outcome and recovery following endoscopic sinus surgery for patients with chronic rhinosinusitis. During the trials, the implants were successfully placed in 80 frontal sinuses, resulting in 100% implant delivery success. Researchers concluded that the steroid-releasing implants were effective in improving outcomes of frontal sinus surgery.
The center is currently engaged in another multi-center study to review in-office sinus procedures.
In the long-established hearing and balance center, patients are offered one of the region's few vestibular testing labs and hearing aids from the world's best manufacturers.
“Our clinical team has grown and we are delighted to provide the services of several board-certified ENT specialists, nurse practitioners and doctorate-level audiologists,” Weiss said. “We base our practice on a collaborative model to achieve the best patient outcomes and ultimate patient experience.”
Additional services the center offers include earlobe repair, hearing care, allergy immunotherapy and balloon dilation procedures.
CT ENT Sinus Center is located at 761 Main Ave., Route 7 - Suite 120, Building I, Norwalk, CT 06851. When onsite, visitors can have an opportunity to meet Sonny, a certified American Kennel Club STAR PUPPY therapy dog.
The clinic's standard procedures require a one-hour consultation instead of the typical 15 minutes for other specializations, and full diagnostic imaging and endoscopic technologies are available in the office. To book an appointment, click here.
