DANBURY, Connecticut — In observance of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, The Center for Empowerment and Education (formerly The Women’s Center of Greater Danbury), will host a Survivor Art Gallery on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Western Connecticut State University. The free event is open to the public from noon to 7 p.m. at the Westside Campus Center Ballroom, 43 Lake Ave. Extension, Danbury.
The Survivor Art Gallery will showcase paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture and other tangible pieces of art created by survivors of interpersonal violence, including interactive pieces. There also will be live musical performances by WCSU students. Counselors from The Center for Empowerment and Education will be present and available during the exhibit.
