City of Danbury issued the following announcement on April 11.
Constituent & Community Outreach Internship: Office of the Mayor Classification:
Academic Year Interns:
This is an unpaid, part-time, internship with the expectation of 8 – 12 hours per week (minimum 2 days per week) throughout the academic school year, or for one college semester, commencing in September or January.
Summer Interns:
This is an unpaid, part time, internship, with the expectation of 8 – 12 hours per week (minimum 2 days per week) for an 11-week period commencing in May or June.
Qualifications:
Internships are available for full or part-time college students with strong computer, phone, and people skills in good academic standing. Interns must have their own reliable transportation to and from work and must be able to work occasional special events on nights and weekends.
Summary of the Position:
The Constituent & Community Outreach Intern to the Office of the Mayor is responsible for carrying out the goals and agenda of the Mayor and his staff. Under general supervision, interns are to perform routine office tasks including constituent outreach, answering phones when needed, data entry, work surrounding special events, and social media.
