Western Connecticut State University issued the following announcement on March 30.
ANBURY, CONN. — The Western Connecticut State University Department of Social Sciences and Western International Center will host a virtual discussion about the Russian invasion of Ukraine at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. The public is invited to listen in and then pose questions via WebEx.
Faculty from several WCSU academic departments will discuss various aspects of the invasion before responding to audience questions. Panelists will include: Assistant Professor of Political Science Dr. Jessica Schofield and Adjunct Instructor of Political Science Valentin Dumitrascu, from the Department of Social Sciences; Professor of History Dr. Michael Nolan, from the Department of History and Non-Western Cultures; and Professor of Spanish Dr. Galina Bakhtiarova, from the Department of World Languages and Cultures.
