Description

On Monday, December 12 at 7:30PM, St. Rose Parish will host a free memorial concert, in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Sandy Hook tragedy.

The concert will feature a string quartet comprised of notable musicians:                                                             

principal cellist Rebecca Patterson of the New Haven Symphony Orchestra concert violinist and University of Connecticut Associate Professor Solomiya Ivakhiv, violist Ashleigh Gordon of Boston’s acclaimed Castle of Our Skins and  violinist Philip Kates of the Philadelphia Orchestra

The program offers an hour of meditative music for string quartet and solo strings by Schubert, Borodin, Florence Price and more. Choir director Joe Jacovino will join quartet members on the piano and the St. Rose Adult Choir will combine for “I’ll Walk With God” and Mozart’s “Ave Verum Corpus”.
