On Sunday, March 30, former Canterbury School standout James Morice’s current college team, the Northeastern Huskies, won 10-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Stony Brook Seawolves.
The game took place at Joe Nathan Field. This was their third matchup against the Seawolves this season.
The Huskies’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1 at 2:30 p.m. at Harrington Athletics Village against Boston Eagles.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
The week starting Monday, Sept. 8 will feature action from these former Housatonic Valley area high school stars.
