On Friday, March 28, former Danbury High School standout Gianna Iaquinto’s current college team, the Hofstra Pride, won 4-0 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Campbell Fighting Lady Camels.
The game took place at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Fighting Lady Camels this season.
The Pride’s next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 29 at 12 p.m. at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium against Campbell Fighting Lady Camels.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
The week starting Monday, Sept. 8 will feature action from these former Housatonic Valley area high school stars.
