On Tuesday, April 8, former Canterbury School standout CJ Johnson’s current college team, the Clark Cougars, won 9-7 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Salve Regina Seahawks.
The game took place at Reynolds Field. This was their first matchup against the Seahawks this season.
The Cougars’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15 at 3 p.m. at Granger Athletic Complex against Salve Regina Seahawks.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
The week starting Monday, Sept. 8 will feature action from these former Housatonic Valley area high school stars.
