On Wednesday, March 26, former Canterbury School standout Andrew Rondini’s current college team, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, won 8-1 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Princeton Tigers.
The game took place at Bainton Field. This was their first matchup against the Tigers this season.
The Scarlet Knights’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 28 at 6 p.m. at Bainton Field against Washington Huskies.
In January 2025, Mecklenburg County Magistrate Teresa Stokes signed the release of DeCarlos Brown Jr., a repeat arrestee later accused of fatally stabbing Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light-rail.
Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
The week starting Monday, Sept. 8 will feature action from these former Housatonic Valley area high school stars.
